Children and youth activities

Children and young people are central to our church family. We want them to feel loved, valued and part of something bigger. Through Sunday School, Messy Church, music and special events, they explore faith in creative, engaging ways. We provide safe, welcoming spaces where friendships grow, gifts are discovered and every young person plays a meaningful part in church and community life.

Sunday School

Join us every Sunday morning for Sunday School, where children and young people explore faith through fun, creativity, and community. With classes for ages 3–10 and 11–16, plus a crèche for little ones, there’s something for everyone. Each week brings new activities — from crafts and quizzes to drama, music, and lively discussion — all led by trained, DBS-checked teachers following a Bible-based syllabus.

Older children are encouraged to share their skills in technology, music, and leadership, while parents are always welcome to stay with younger children. Whether through the Christmas Nativity, musical projects or simply learning together, Sunday School is a place to grow in faith, friendship, and confidence.

Please note: the entire church gathers together at our 9am café-style breakfast service on the first Sunday of every month.

Geese

Geese meets on alternate Friday evenings from 6–7:30 pm during term time and is open to all young people aged 11-19 in the Thames Valley circuit. It’s a relaxed space to enjoy food together, build friendships, and explore faith through Bible study that connects with real life.

Whether you’re new to church or have grown up in it, Geese offers the chance to ask questions, share ideas and discover how faith can shape everyday choices. It’s fun, informal and welcoming — a place where teenagers across our circuit can belong, grow and make their voices heard.

BISMA — the Born in Song Music Academy — runs every Saturday in term-time for young people aged 11–18. It’s a creative, inspiring space where musicians can grow in confidence, develop their talents and bring their skills back to enrich Methodist worship in their home churches.

Sessions include everything from worship band and voice training to hymn writing, worship leading, and organ lessons for those drawn to a more classical style. Whether you love to sing, play, write or lead, BISMA gives you the chance to explore music and faith together in a supportive, exciting environment where new friendships are made and gifts are celebrated.

Messy Church

Messy Church takes place every couple of months on a Saturday afternoon and is open to children aged 0–10 (and beyond) with their families. It’s a lively mix of hands-on craft activities, play areas, and plenty of creativity, followed by a short, child-friendly talk and time to sing together. Afterwards, families share a meal, making it as much about community as it is about fun.

Messy Church is one of our most popular events — relaxed, welcoming and designed for everyone to join in. There’s no cost to attend, though a donations basket is available for those who wish to contribute.

Toddlers group

Our Toddlers group meets every Thursday morning in term-time from 9:15 to 11:15, welcoming up to 35 families. It’s a warm, friendly space where parents and carers can relax over tea, coffee and biscuits while little ones enjoy squash, toys, puzzles, colouring and play-dough.

Nursery rhymes are a highlight, with plenty of encouragement for children to play and learn together in a safe, supportive environment. Whether you’re new to Windsor or looking for a regular group, this is a place to connect, share, and feel at home.

Pregnancy Drop-in

On the first Monday of every month, from 6–7:30 pm, we host a Pregnancy Drop-in for expectant mothers led by Louise and Caitriona. It’s an open, supportive space to find information, share experiences and connect with others on the journey to parenthood. Whether you’re expecting your first child or adding to your family, you’ll find a warm welcome and a chance to talk with people who understand.

For more details, check our notice board or get in touch with Louise directly via the contact form.
