Windsor Methodist Church's 150th anniversary year begins in the heart of town, as the Town Crier officially proclaims the start of 150 for 150 at the Queen Victoria Statue. Come along and be part of the moment the year begins.

Café Church is a relaxed and informal way to explore faith and community - and this Sunday we’ll be kicking off our 150th anniversary year. We begin by sharing breakfast together before moving into a time of accessible worship, conversation, and reflection.

Tea Time for the Soul service: Macmillan fundraiser
Our dementia-friendly Tea Time for the Soul service doubles as a Macmillan fundraiser this year, raising money for cancer support while offering the same gentle, welcoming space it always does.
After the service, everyone is invited to stay for afternoon tea, where conversation and companionship are shared over cakes and refreshments. It is a warm and welcoming space that nurtures both faith and friendship.

Evening Tent Mission Service
Nearly 300 years ago, on 26 September 1738, John Wesley preached in Windsor. We mark that history with an evening tent mission service of old, well-loved hymns, cake and drinks, and a warm welcome to any who love a good singalong as much as we do.

Harvest Supper
The same meal we cook fortnightly for the night shelter, pasta bake, bread, salad and cake, brought to the table for Harvest. PCSO David Bullock joins us to speak about Windsor Christian Action.

Toy Service
Join us for our annual Toy Service, where all are welcome. At this service we take up a donation of toys for the Salvation Army to distribute to families in need.

Walking Nativity

Night Shelter support
Our volunteering and cooking for the Alma Beacon night shelter continues through January and February. If you can give a Saturday morning to join our chefs in the church kitchen (please chat to Brenda), or can do a night shift at the shelter, please chat to Rev’d Vicci. Volunteering at the night shelter requires a DBS check and training - further details via the Windsor Homeless Project website.
Anniversary Day: Celebratory Service and Lunch
The actual day, 150 years to the point. We mark the occasion with a celebratory service and lunch, joined by Jenny Impey, Superintendent of the Whitechapel Mission, which is also celebrating its own 150th this year. In solidarity, everything raised on the day goes to their work.
Praise and Protest
An evening of hymns, worship songs and protest songs, with a talk from the Chair of the Joint Public Issues Team. What have we protested about, as a church and as a denomination, over the last 150 years? Refreshments provided.
Pentecost Picnic in the Park
Bring a blanket and something to share for an outdoor picnic together, marking Pentecost as one church family in the open air.

An Evening with Paul and Fiona
Paul Jones and Fiona Hendley Jones - a powerful testimony in word and song
Hear how God has changed their lives - an inspiring, moving and humorous story of how they met and came to faith.
From atheism and intellectual pride, fear and deception to unconditional love and forgiveness. The Gospel clearly explained.
Paul is very well known for his band The Manfreds (formerly known as Manfred Mann). His work is and has been extensive, including...The Blues Band, Radio Two Blues Show, Film, TV, Broadway, West End, RSC and vast numbers of music recordings.
Fiona appeared in the TV hit series Widows, on radio, at the West End, with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre where she met and worked with Paul in the award winning production of Guys 'n' Dolls.
Closing Celebration: Dinner, Awards and Quiz Night
We mark the end of the anniversary year together, with an evening meal, a comic awards ceremony and a quiz. A fitting, fun close to 150 for 150. Details and times TBC.
